Menu Planning

A great way to start eating better is by planning your menu so you can get a variety of types of food and not get stuck making the same thing all the time, like pizza and burgers.

When I plan my menu for the week, I start with the type of meat that we’re going to have. Then I try to create a variety throughout the week between the sea-meats and land-meats. Thus, Monday will be chicken, Tuesday Salmon, Wednesday Beef, and so on.

Over the past year and a half, my husband has taken up and become obsessed with CrossFit. For those of you not familiar with CrossFit, it’s a new way of approaching fitness. It focuses on functional movements to build strength and flexibility. Dan, my husband, has come back with success stories of people who have gone through hip replacement surgery and had a hard time walking around their home and after a year of CrossFit, they are able to do box jumps!
